Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋節, zhōng qiū jié), also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival is just around the corner. Every year Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival usually falls on mid of September. It is also a very important festival in the Chinese calendar. There are many types of fillings in traditional mooncakes, Lotus seed paste, Sweet bean paste, Yam, Salted egg yolk and so on.
Surprisingly last Sunday, my youngest sister bought a set of Modern mooncakes, Jelly Mooncakes with Cheese filling. This is my first time to see a Jelly Mooncakes. All of these time, i ate are those traditional mooncakes with Lotus seed paste, Sweet bean paste, Yam and Salted egg yolk.
